What we learned
by moving ourselves.
We researched our move from Australia to Dubai, but some questions only came up when we started doing it. There were practical details we hadn’t found online.
That’s why, where possible, we visit in person and test the options we’re considering. We ask questions, check how things work and look for the details that are easy to miss from a distance.
At Project Get Out, we combine that experience with Victoria’s legal background and Stephan’s business and operations experience. We help you work out what matters for your move and who you need involved.

Victoria Wells
Victoria Wells is Principal and Co-Founder of Ape Law. Her legal work covers company structures, digital asset regulation and the requirements of running a business internationally.
Before Ape Law, Victoria was Chief Legal Officer at Illuvium and founded Alt Law in Australia. She has built a legal practice and worked inside a business, so she understands how legal decisions affect the people running it.
She moved from Australia to Dubai with her partner, Stephan Roberto. She uses that experience and her legal background in her writing for Project Get Out. Her contributions to the Australian Exit Guide and journal help Australians understand their options and prepare questions for their advisers.

Stephan Roberto
Stephan Roberto is a serial entrepreneur who runs Scale Manual, Project Get Out and Ape Law. He understands the business decisions involved in moving overseas, including how to keep a business running while making the move.
Stephan is CTO and Co-Founder of Ape Law. At Project Get Out, he handles research, technology and operations. He helps business owners work out what needs to happen, who needs to be involved and in what order.
He moved from Australia to Dubai with his partner, Victoria Wells. His writing covers the practical questions he faced himself and the decisions other Australians need to consider before moving.
